3 Days, 3 Quotes: Day 2

Thanks again Giovanna of Book Coma Blog for tagging me to do this. 😀

The rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day.

My second quote is from A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. This is such an interesting book. I learned a lot about the history of Earth and scientific discoveries ever since, and Bryson wrote this in a way that does not bore the readers, unlike most textbooks read at school.

A Short History of Nearly Everything

“The upshot of all this is that we live in a universe whose age we can’t quite compute, surrounded by stars whose distances we don’t altogether know, filled with matter we can’t identify, operating in conformance with physical laws whose properties we don’t truly understand.”

Yes, we are nothing but an insignificant speck in the universe, which by the way, we know little to nothing about. If you’re in for a long but informative read, do read this book! 🙂

Today, I tag:

  1. Joanne @ In Case of Bookishness
  2. Judith @ Read and Review 2016
  3. Clemence @ Words & Dreams

Have a nice daaay!
